  1. LiveReload script tag for Thymeleaf with Spring Boot

The upcoming release of Spring Boot 1.3.0 will ship with a new module called spring-boot-devtools which has a built in LiveReload server. If you're using the Thymelead template engine then this short snippet might be useful to you, it automatically populates a script tag with the current IP address of the server.

    <script th:src="'http://'; + ${T(java.net.InetAddress).localHost.hostAddress} + ':35729/livereload.js?snipver=1'"></script>

    • Autosave and Livereload together without issues??

When I use both at the same time, Livereload blocks autosave. I can only save once and then it gets blocked by livereload. Can this be fixed??

I'm using autosave https://www.npmjs.com/package/autosave and have tried with different forms of livereload. They all block autosave.

Fixing this issue would be amazing!!

      Thanks in advance.

                • Support adding user-defined compilers

Alternative title: user-defined commands to be run for changes to files with specific extensions.

This is probably far more complicated than it sounds by the way I'm describing it, but it'd be nice (the key words) to be able to associate one or more extensions with a user-defined compiler.

For example, if I wanted to associate the .adc extension with asciidoc and run that compiler with specific commands for a specific project (that's not actually its extension, by the way), currently the only way to do this is to use the one-and-only command I get to run for a project…

                  • ejs extension support

Many Node apps use EJS templates (http://www.embeddedjs.com/), and it'd be great if LiveReload by default would watch for changes in .ejs files, too, so you don't have to add the extension manually.

                          • replace a simple Windows Folder Select dialog as it is now.

I suggest you Stop using a simple Windows Folder Select dialog as is and add a way to paste a path to a folder. Right now, it is VERY anti-UX.

Look at this. I spend a minute looking for the right folder instead of 5 seconds if I could just paste a location.

                                    • Workaround for OS X FSEvents bug

My preferred method (most others suggested didn't work) to resolve this bug:

                                      http://feedback.livereload.com/knowledgebase/articles/86239

...was to rename a parent directory of the LiveReload monitored folder.

This meant resetting the local folder path in MAMP too, but avoided renaming/renaming back the actual LiveReload folder, which was under version control.

                                      • Add HTTPS support for Windows client

The project I'm working on does not have an HTTP version at all (it's a finance system). When I change the script tag to
<script src="https://'; + (location.host || 'localhost').split(':')[0] + ':35729/livereload.js?snipver=1"> I get net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED error. Otherwise I get an error from Chrome, that denies to include unsecure script on HTTPS page.

                                        • Fix the Firefox extension so it doesn't glitch in v29+

Seems there's some glitching regarding the Firefox extension in v29+.

After restarting it'll append the button to the far-right after the menu button where it's un-moveable.

It's basically unusable now as the user doesn't have any control over how it's supposed to be positioned.
