Using LiveReload to compress PNG and JPG files.
When viewing the file extensions that LiveReload "supports", it mentions PNG and JPG files, but nothing in the documentation or in this feedback forum tells you how to work with them.
Could you please write a quick article on how to setup automatic compression of these file types?
We definitely want to include this, but we’re not sure when we can do it.

This would be cool. Could be implimented using the PunyPNG api (they do JPGs too): www.punypng.com/api
I've found PunyPNG to have much better lossless image compression rates than any other online / offline compressor including smush.it, PNGOptimizer, and others:

I think is not for compression, but if you modify a png it will update it on the browser page. To compress image you can use http://imageoptim.com/ on OSX
