  1. Fix LiveReload to work with https

I get this error in Firefox 13 when loading the page over SSL :

    The operation is insecure.

      You have left! (?) (thinking…)

Planning to look into it some time soon.

The main problem is that livereload.js can be accessed via multiple domain names, and even when it’s on localhost, there’s no way to obtain a trusted SSL certificate for localhost. I do have a few options in mind, though.

          • Support for working with remote servers

LiveReload for Mac has a URL override mode and a set of configurable delays for remote server use cases. We need the same stuff on Windows.

            • RVM gemset support

I would quite desperately like some support for RVM (https://rvm.io/) gemsets.

I don't understand why LiveReload detects RVM's rubies, but completely ignores the point of using RVM, which is the power of gemsets.

                • Display a message on successful reload

It would be nice to have some sort of messaging when a reload is successful, not just unsuccessful, just for reassurance.

                  • Support Compass on Windows

Currently the Windows version only supports SASS; it bundles Compass but does not actually use it. We should make it detect Compass projects and use Compass to build them.

                    • Have default src --> public compile folders

Let me specify 2 folders, one 'source' and one 'output'. Then, compile all files in src/ into their same spot in output/

                      So, if I have
                      src/js/app.coffee
                      src/js/helpers/forms.coffee
                      src/stylesheets/styles.less

                      This gets compiled into
                      public/js/app.js
                      public/js/helpers/forms.js
                      public/stylesheets/styles.less

Isn't this how most sane people structure their code? Doing this now is a huge pain, since I have to set output directories for every sub-directory I have

                      • Use system compiler instead of built-in compiler

I keep running into problems with LiveReload unable to load/compile some compass plugins.

You should give an option for users to use their own compilers and various plugins they might have on their system to avoid these sort of problem.

                        • Better include/exclude file extension UI

I use Tin.cr for CSS/JS reloading. It does (actual) live reload via Chrome’s setContent. Tincr doen’t reload HTML so I use LiveReload for that.

I want LiveReload only reload HTML and don’t do anything on CSS and JS changes. The settings UI allows me to add an extension but not delete one, which I find quite confusing.

Wouldn’t be nice to have just one list of extensions that you can edit?

                          • Add support for ruby under rbenv rather than system

Under project options "Ruby to use" the system version is the only option available.

I'd like to be able to select the version I'm using on a per-project basis so that gem plugins like animate and susy can be used.

I need some of the features of sass 3.2 (alpha) but live reload seems to be independent of the versions on my system and use it's on internal version. The ability to choose or at least specify the system version on compile would be handy :)

                                      • Allow diacritics in the installation path in Windows

So here's my problem preventing me from using LiveReload on Windows. My name is Adrian Cearnău and that ă that is a part of my Windows profile name (and therefore profile folder name) gets LiveReload confused (I think). Here's a log file of what happens when I try to run it:
