I suggest you ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

      • Reload browser on database changes

Imagine how cool it would be to make changes in your WordPress / Drupal / Joomla admin page and have your site reloaded automatically? If you're used to tweaking your posts, or theme colors, or whatever, I'm sure you can appreciate that.

          • keep it portable

I'm using 3 systems (PC@work, PC@home and a Notebook for... well, when I wait to get a new haircut and such) that are all configured equally. Files are synched via Cloudservices such as Dropbox. It would be nice if I could copy the LiveReload folder into my dropbox and everytime I change the settings (e.g. add a folder) all 3 instances are updated updated automatically thru Dropbox.

in LiveReload 0.5 this was still possible but since 0.6 you have to install it... which is why I stick to 0.5 for the time being

Have I missed something and this still…

              • Using LiveReload to compress PNG and JPG files.

When viewing the file extensions that LiveReload "supports", it mentions PNG and JPG files, but nothing in the documentation or in this feedback forum tells you how to work with them.

Could you please write a quick article on how to setup automatic compression of these file types?

                • pause

I want a pause button so I can do something horribly big (like upgrade a library or merge a branch) without LiveReload going crazy.

                  • shortkey to activate/deactivate reload

Sometimes I work on files called by ajax function. I don't need to reload the pages where livereload is activated.
It will be useful to set a shortkey to quickly activate/deactivate livereload.

                    • Support Sass @debug and @warn directives

LiveReload doesn't support the Sass @debug and @warn directives. Compass runs as expected but no output/errors are generated.

                          • Installing on Windows 7

I installed the current Windows version of Live Reload (v0.7.1.0). Then, I installed the browser extensions into Firefox and Chrome. So far so good. I accessed a file in Firefox using my WAMP server and opened it in notepad++.

When I clicked on the LiveReload icon in the Firefox add-ons bar I got a couple errors and when I edited the file in notepad++ I had to refresh the browser after saving the file.

Next I tried copying in the script snippet LiveReload displays when you point it at a file ("+" on the app's main panel). With that snippet…

                            • More sophisticated compile/exclude rules

I have a main style.scss file and a bunch of 'module' files in module/*.scss. There are then @import'd into the main stylesheet. The modules folder is excluded from compilation as I do not want a .css file for each module.

If I make a change to a module, I have to save both the module and the main file to force a recompile and a browser refresh. That's getting increasingly frustrating.

It would be great to be able to say 'dont create a .css file for <file>, but do recompile <file>'
